Overview

For Ron Hamilton (1950-2023), a lifelong ministry began in a most unexpected way at age 27. When cancer took his left eye, children saw his eye patch and called him a real live pirate. That is when Ron realized it was a God-given opportunity for Gospel ministry and began writing music for countless children's songs, performing them as Patch the Pirate. The down-to-earth lyrics in his songs were appreciated by Christian parents everywhere who wanted character-based music for their home. Ron & Shelly Hamiltons' son-in-law and daughter, Adam and Megan Morgan, still share in the fruitfulness and excitement of this ministry with Majesty Music, based in Greenville, South Carolina.
