Overview

In 1962, Don Richardson (June 23, 1935–December 23, 2018) and his wife Carol and their seven-month-old baby went to work among the Sawi tribe of what was then Dutch New Guinea. Living with these cannabalistic headhunters in virtual isolation from the modern world, the Richardsons set about learning the dauntingly complex native Sawi language. During their time there, the tribal wars reached a climax - and in observing the way to peace, God showed Don the "redemptive analogy" that He had placed among those people to communicate to them the Gospel. Following his 15 years of missionary service with these tribal peoples under World Team, Don Richardson authored five books including the best-sellers Peace Child, Lords of the Earth, and Eternity in Their Hearts.
