Overview

Preacher Johnny Pope has spent fifty years of his life speaking to youth and adults. Born in a Baptist hospital, and born again at age six, he followed the footsteps of his father to a life behind the pulpit. Early on, it was his dream to have one church to call home and from which to minister abroad. God granted him his desire when, in January 1981, after graduating from Hyles-Anderson College in Crown Point, Indiana, he began pastoring the church where he still preaches today, Christchurch Baptist Fellowship, of Houston, Texas. He and his wife Barbara have many experiences to look back on, but they choose to look forward, seeking to be found faithful and trusting God to do exceeding abundantly above all that could be asked or thought (Ephesians 3:20).
