Description
In I Samuel 17, we picture the battle between David and Goliath as being a one-on-one championship. But the boy after God’s own heart had many giants facing his way that day. And they were just as threatening as Goliath: giants of negativity, abuse, one-upmanship, disrespect for authority, egotism, pride, fatalism, and fear. These giants had permeated not only the enemy culture but the mindset of God’s people, their king, and even David’s brothers. What had the shepherd boy taken care of in the past that would take care of his nation in its uncertain future?
