Overview

Pastor Ligon experienced the call of God on his life at age 18, and has ministered as a pastor-teacher since 1955. After serving student pastorates in Tennessee and Kentucky while in school, he eventually held pastorates in churches in Florida and Georgia. He and his wife, the former Dorothy Jean Reeves of Tallahassee, Florida, served for six years as Southern Baptist missionaries to Spain. He founded the Christian Renewal Church of Brunswick, Georgia in 1973, and has served as Senior Pastor of the church since. He was one of the founders of the Fellowship of Churches and Ministers International (FCMI) with churches in eight states and three foreign countries. He is the author of the books, Discipleship: The Jesus View, published by Logos International, and Imparting the Blessing to Your Children. Pastor Ligon holds a B.A. from Carson Newman College, and an M.Div. from the Southern Baptist Theological Seminary in Louisville, Kentucky.
