“If My people, which are called by My name, shall humble themselves, and pray …” Along with many references from the Gospels, II Chronicles 7:14 shows us that prayer is warfare, beginning and ending with hearts made contrite in the presence of God. And the freeing work of the Spirit in the life of a Christian will reach far beyond the individual life of the one praying. Through the name and blood of Christ, the power of the kingdom goes on to change specific family members, church congregations, and cities.
Wow, this is everything the Dear Holy Spirit has and is teaching me. It is comforting to know that others are in warfare prayer too for the Church, loved ones, neighbours, nation etc.
