Picture the genuine love that radiated from the cross. There was sacrifice. There was generosity. That was the character of the Father. And that is what shown through His Son. In Matthew 5:42-48 Christ used His Father’s nature to bring to light who we actually are as Christians–in Christ, children of God. Like the sun or the rain, our love is not selective. As Christ’s was, so ours can be. Is this what sinners see in us?
