Seek Ye the Lord
You are here
Description
Why does it seem that sometimes when you determine to “seek the Lord,” He intentionally hides from you? Is something wrong? No! Isaiah 45:15 affirms, “Verily thou art a God that hidest thyself.” Gabe Cleator reveals how God uses this seeming contradiction for good when we desire to pursue after Him with all of our heart. Gabe’s points lead us not only to the best place to find the Lord but also into a deeper understanding of how He deepens our relationship with Himself.

Many verses compel us to seek the Lord. Presumably, it's something I should and can do all the time. What then does Isaiah mean by that added phrase: "Seek ye the Lord while He may be found" (Isaiah 55:6)? Could it be that I'm not as in control of my life and my time as I think?

We've all heard the command, "In every thing give thanks: for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus concerning you" (I Thessalonians 5:18). While there is always something to be grateful for, is it really reasonable to expect someone to give thanks for everything?
