Powerful Lessons From the Life of Ahithophel

Description

If you’ve ever dreamed of following a super sleuth on the trail for a clue in a case of high treason, look no further! Armed with the good old Strong’s Concordance, Jim Schettler tracks down the root of bitterness that poisoned a nation, fueled a rebellion, and wrecked the king’s court. The puzzle surrounding the story of Ahithophel covers a subtle process that repeats itself far too often in real life. If we are brave enough to play the detective ourselves, we will most certainly find the same plot brewing in our own hearts now. And there is but one cure, a kind of tree you will probably never forget after encountering firsthand its power to heal every “unresolved violation of your justice system”.

  1. Very powerful message for me. Applicable to many situations I have experience in my life and specifically over the past year. I have listened to the message twice since the beginning of February and plan on listening many more times. Great preacher!
Many years ago I heard a definition of forgiveness: giving up my right to hurt you for hurting me.
Just this week our church secretary put a quote in our Wednesday bulletin by C.S. Lewis: To be a Christian means to forgive the inexcusable, because God has forgiven the inexcusable in you.
I would also suggest the book Total Forgiveness by R.T. Kendall.
