Dr. Larry Guthrie and his family loved outdoor activities. For Larry, this included most everything except running a race. Then came the day he found himself joining in “a fun run.” As he recounts in this short story, the principles he learned in that two-mile race developed into an object lesson. Applicable to all of us, Larry’s message shares keen insights about encouraging one another in the race that we are running together towards Christ.
