In this session Roger Magnuson relates the gripping story of David Livingstone and the practical, self-sacrificing courage he demonstrated against the roaring adversary of the villagers he sought to win for Christ. Magnuson relates this illustration to Christ's approach to ministry, showing how the transfer of values from one generation to another rests on the ability of the family to live in full attack mode, deriving joy and fulfillment, their genuine excitement, even their very definition of fun! from playing an active role in the mission of making disciples. He concludes with the exhortation: "Rather than simply waiting for the lion to leap ... how much better to take our musket, with our kids alongside, and go hunting the lion."
