Description

During the rage of World War II when Holland was blasted by air raid bombs, a little Dutch boy hid in a bomb shelter, trembling in fear. Realizing that death was possible at any moment and not knowing where he was going if he did die, the little boy could only wish that God would accept him into heaven.

“. . . they had the cannons set up to shoot the planes; so they were shooting over our houses. The sound was devastating! And none of us knew God.”
—OTTO KONING

After the war ended, the burning question in the Dutch Boy’s heart was to find how he could get to heaven. But what he came to find did far more than alter his eternal destiny! The answer began a transformation that would affect people and tribes on the other side of the world!

In this Legacy of Faith presentation, former missionary Otto Koning recounts his experiences as that little Dutch boy and the struggle with fear that he had. As he shares his story, not only will you hear the events that led up to his salvation experience, but also how God led him in becoming a missionary to the head-hunting and cannibalistic tribes of New Guinea.
