Entertaining God
Description
Ever since the time Doug Small shared this simple message from Genesis 18 with our staff in Oak Brook, it has been a favorite, a kind of benchmark for beginning to begin to put in words the spirit of a personal prayer life. Praying is so much more than asking and acquiring answers. It is more than obtaining blessings. God desires a relationship, a relationship that begins, but doesn’t end, in the prayer closet. Learning to host the Lord will affect not only what I do and say but the future of families (my family), cities (my city), and even whole nations for generations and generations. Wait for God. Give God room. Make Him happy and ask Him what you can do for Him. Entertain God!
