David Encouraged His Heart

Description

For everyone in the battle, there will be good days and bad. In light of eternity, how do we keep one hard day from wiping out our reward? Wouldn’t it save a lot of time and trouble if we decided ahead of time where to go for encouragement when the day seems long, and the sky looks dark? During these trying times is when those with a heart for God discover Who He is. He is the Lord God, Jehovah, Yahweh, Elohim, the same God in Whom Job, David, Paul … and Tom Harmon … found courage and confidence for themselves and their families in the circumstances they faced. Lifting our eyes up off of ourselves and seeing the situation from God’s perspective is and always will be the supreme override. There isn’t time for anything less!

“It’s important to encourage others because it pleases the Lord.”
“We also need to encourage ourselves in the Lord.”
“It’s important to encourage other people so they will be strengthened.”
“We need to encourage others because the Lode asks us to!”
All out of the mouths of some of our children (eleven and under) who appreciate Mr. Harmon’s sermons.
