Win Battles With “No Power”!
It was an awesome array of military might: An army of 580,000 mighty men of valor, all well-armed and skillful in warfare. However, the army that came against them had a million men and three hundred chariots!
King Asa simply could have asked God to give him some additional power to equalize the two-to-one disadvantage his army had. Instead, he did two things that brought him the victory. First, he cried out to the Lord, acknowledging that all his military might was of no significance compared to the power of God.
King Asa said: “Lord, it is nothing with thee to help, whether with many, or with them that have no power . . .” (II Chronicles 14:11).
