Find the Way of Life!
If you had the opportunity to choose anything you wanted, what would you choose? If you chose riches, they would come with sorrow. (See I Timothy 6:9–10.) If you chose pleasure, it would come with poverty. (See Proverbs 21:17.) But if you chose an abundant life, you would have everything worth having. This, in fact, is the purpose for which Christ came: “That they might have life, and that they might have it more abundantly” (John 10:10). This is the choice spoken of in Matthew 7:13–14:
“Enter ye in at the strait gate: for wide is the gate, and broad is the way, that leadeth to destruction, and many there be which go in thereat: because strait is the gate, and narrow is the way, which leadeth unto life, and few there be that find it.”
